Privacy Policy
Last updated August 10, 2026
Connector Companion ("Connector Companion," "we," "us," or "our") is built and operated by The Natework Group, LLC. This policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and the choices you have. It applies to connectorcompanion.com and the Connector Companion application.
The two kinds of data we handle
Connector Companion treats two categories of information very differently, and that distinction is the foundation of this policy:
- Your account data. Information about you as a subscriber: your name, email address, subscription plan, and billing status.
- Your contacts' data. Information you choose to enter about the people in your own private relationship book -- names, contact details, notes, birthdays, and the history of your interactions with them. This data is yours. It exists solely to help you stay in touch with people you already know, and we treat it as private, sensitive information that is never repurposed for any other use.
We never sell either category of data. We never use your contacts' data for advertising, marketing, or analytics of any kind, and we never send it to an AI or machine-learning system -- not ours, and not a third party's. This is not just a policy choice; it is a structural guarantee in how the product is built.
Information we collect
From you, when you create an account: your name and email address, handled by our authentication provider, Clerk. If you subscribe to a paid plan, our payment processor, Stripe, collects your billing information directly -- we never see or store your full card number.
From you, as you use the product: the contacts, notes, priorities, categories, and touchpoint history you choose to enter; your settings and preferences; and, on plans where Network Insights is included, aggregate metrics used to generate it unless you turn it off (see below).
Automatically: basic technical information needed to operate the service securely (such as sign-in activity), and, if you enable them, push notification subscriptions delivered through your browser's own push service. We do not use advertising cookies, third-party analytics trackers, or any cross-site tracking technology on this site.
Network Insights: how we avoid needing your contacts' details at all
If you're on a plan with Network Insights, we calculate things like your relationship health score, follow-through rate, and communication patterns entirely from counts, dates, and derived numbers -- never from the actual names, notes, or messages you've entered. No raw contact detail ever enters the insights engine. You can exclude specific categories or specific contacts from this calculation entirely, reset your insights history, export it, or delete it, all from your account settings.
Who we share data with
We work with a small number of service providers to run Connector Companion. We share only what each provider needs to do its job, and none of them are permitted to use your data for their own purposes:
- Clerk -- authentication, sign-in, and session management (your name and email).
- Stripe -- payment processing and subscription billing (your billing details; we never store your full card number).
- Microsoft Azure -- application hosting and database storage for all of the data described above.
- Resend -- delivery of transactional email, such as reminders and account notices you've asked for.
- Cloudflare -- domain name resolution for connectorcompanion.com.
- Your browser's push notification service (for example, Google, Apple, or Mozilla's own infrastructure) -- only if you opt in to push notifications, and only to deliver the notification you requested.
We do not use HubSpot, Google Analytics, advertising networks, or any other marketing or ad-tech platform on this product today. If that ever changes for account-level marketing communications (never for your contacts' data), we will update this policy first.
We may also disclose information if required by law, or to protect the rights, property, or safety of Connector Companion, our subscribers, or others.
How we protect your data
- All data is encrypted in transit (HTTPS/TLS) between your device and our servers.
- Sensitive contact fields -- email, phone, address, birthday, and notes -- are encrypted at the field level before they're stored, using industry-standard AES-256 encryption, in addition to standard database encryption at rest.
- Your data is isolated from every other subscriber's data at the database level, not just in application logic, so one subscriber's account can never read another's contacts.
- We don't casually browse subscriber contact data. Any exceptional access for support or security purposes is logged.
Your rights and controls
From your account settings, you can at any time:
- Export a full copy of your data.
- Delete an individual contact, or all of your contacts at once.
- Delete your account entirely, which permanently removes your contacts, touchpoints, reminders, quiz history, and analytics.
- Control which contacts or categories are included in Network Insights, or turn insights off entirely.
- Manage your email and push notification preferences.
Account deletion takes effect immediately in our live systems. Because we maintain routine backups for disaster recovery, deleted data may persist in backups for a limited period before it fully ages out, consistent with our backup retention schedule.
If you have a question about your data that isn't covered by the controls above, contact us at support@connectorcompanion.com.
Data retention
We keep your contact data for as long as your account is active, or until you delete it yourself -- we don't independently decide a relationship record has "expired" and remove it without your action. Billing records are retained by Stripe as required for tax and accounting purposes. Account data is retained for a limited period after cancellation to support reactivation and billing history, then deleted or anonymized.
Children's privacy
Connector Companion is not directed to, and is not intended for use by, anyone under 18 years old. We do not knowingly collect information from anyone under 18. If you believe a minor has created an account, contact us and we will delete it.
Where your data is processed
Connector Companion is hosted in the United States, and your data is processed and stored there. If you access the service from outside the United States, you understand that your information will be transferred to and processed in the United States.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy as the product evolves. If we make a material change, we'll update the "Last updated" date above and, where appropriate, notify you directly.
